In season 13, episode 10 of Shark Tank, Kevin Hart, an American actor, and comedian, made a special guest appearance alongside regular guest/investor Mark Cuban an American billionaire entrepreneur, television personality, and media proprietor, and did the unthinkable. Kevin Hart and Mark Cuban invest 500k for 30% equity into Black Sands Entertainment.
Manuel Godoy founded Black Sands Entertainment in 2016. According to Flaunt, they are the #1 black-owned comic publisher. According to Black Enterprise, “Black Sands has reported a total of 200,000 print copies sold, with $2 million in sales since it started”
The anime focuses on the history of blacks pre-slavery, following male and female characters with special powers some, including shape-shifting and having the ability to fly, powerful strength. Who are Egyptian royalty. The telling of these stories is rarely told, especially from a black perspective
